Disneyland Resort will be temporarily closing its “World of Color” show at Disney California Adventure Park for refurbishment starting January 8, 2024.
The Details
As part of the Holiday celebrations at Disneyland Resort, the nightly water show is a version called “World of Color – Season of Light,” which weaves seasonal songs into the mix of Disney classics.
See beloved moments from Disney and Pixar films illuminate a towering wall of mist. Watch hundreds of sky-high fountains dance in time to festive music as shimmering snowflakes fill the scene.
It’s all happening through January 7, 2024.
There’s even a temporary pre-show inspired by Disney’s “Wish” movie that will also have the same end date.
But on January 8, 2024, the fountains will be shut off for a few weeks so the park can do its refurbishment on the area.
Disneyland is projecting the “World of Color” refurbishment will run through February 29, 2024, with the show reopening March 1st, just in time for Spring break to start.
Other Refurbishments
“World of Color” will not be the only attraction that will be closed in January at Disneyland Resort.
“Grizzly River Run” in Disney California Adventure will close for its annual refurbishment on January 8, 2024, with no reopening date listed.
And over at Disneyland Park, “Haunted Mansion” will close on January 22 for both refurbishment and the queue expansion to start.
