Disney Vacation Club has officially opened its 16th property, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel at the Disneyland Resort, which is the 4th and newest tower available to guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel.
The Grand Opening
The Grand Opening of this newest DVC property was livestreamed by Disney, and featured appearances by Princess Tiana, Anna and Elsa, and King Louie and Baloo, all characters featured throughout the tower’s custom artwork.
The ceremony closed with Disney on Broadway legend Kissy Simmons, who gave a performance of the new Disney Vacation Club anthem “Where We Belong (Welcome Home).”
The Tower
The new Disney Vacation Club tower is named “Discovery” and joins the three existing Disneyland Hotel towers named “Fantasy,” “Adventure” and “Frontier.”
In this all-new, 12-story tower, you’ll find 344 rooms themed to some of the most beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios classic films, such as “Sleeping Beauty,” “Fantasia” and “The Princess and the Frog.”
The lobby features a special mural created by Disney Animation artist Lorelay Bové, which brings together favorite characters, scenes and stories – including a sneak peek of art from the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “Wish.”
Amenities include the brand-new Palette Pool area, and the neighboring whimsical “Steamboat Willie” splash pad. The Palm Breeze Bar will open later this year for poolside drinks and snacks. Guests of The Villas also have access to all Disneyland Hotel amenities such as restaurants and pool areas.
