Disney+ has released the official teaser trailer for its “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series, along with some new images, giving fans a good look at the characters of the show.


The Trailer

We first meet Percy in a museum, from there we get to see several scenes of Camp Half-Blood. In addition to Percy and his friends, we get looks at Lance Reddick as Zeus, and Adam Copeland as Ares.

And I have to say the visuals look really good!

The Show

“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” follows the titular 12-year old demi-god (Walker Scobell) who is just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers as the son of Poseidon (Toby Stephens) when the sky god Zeus (Lance Reddick) accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt.

With help from his friends Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.

Others cast in recurring or guest roles, include Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, Timm Sharp, Dior Goodjohn, Olivea Morton, and Charlie Bushnell, along with recent additions like Adam Copeland, Suzanne Cryer, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Duplass, and Timothy Omundson.

Disney+ will debut “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” based on the best-selling book series by author Rick Riordan, on December 20, 2023, with a two-episode premiere.
