As part of the “Loki x McDonald’s” partnership, Marvel’s “Loki” will take over a Brooklyn location of McDonald’s this week, August 30th through September 1st, 2023.

The Details

The “Loki x McDonald’s” takeover will happen at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 6620 Bay Parkway in Brooklyn, NY.

Guests will enter the restaurant by some kind of “time portal” that will transport them to the 80s once you get inside.

The decor is quite close to the one seen in the upcoming season two of the show, and will include some memorabilia. McDonald’s says guests might even see Grimace and McDonaldland characters here and there on the walls, in true 80s fashion, along with some exclusive TVA posters including the mysterious Miss Minutes.

And yes, younger readers, McDonald’s actually used to be that brightly colored!

Plus, while the promotion lasts all three days, guests who visit on the first day, Wednesday, August 30th, will be able to get the promotional “As Featured In Meal” (a choice of 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, or Big Mac Sandwich, along with a Medium World Famous Fries, a Medium soft drink, and the newly-branded “Loki” Sweet ‘N Sour Sauce) for what it would have cost at McDonald’s in the 80s. McDonald’s didn’t specify the price, though I remember a Big Mac meal being less than $3 in the mid-80s.

McDonald’s will also have someone taking pictures to give away polaroids to the fans who visit the store, and they say “Loki” cosplay is very much encouraged.

The promotion will run from noon to 7pm on Wednesday, August 30, plus 1pm to 8pm on Thursday, August 31 and Friday, September 1.
