Disney and McDonald’s will be partnering together on a new campaign that features the restaurant appearing in the upcoming season 2 of “Loki,” as well as a “Loki”-branded sauce appearing in real-life McD’s restaurants.
Beginning August 14, 2023, McDonald’s will drop a new global meal in more than 100 countries, starring menu items famously featured in pop culture movies and TV series, including Marvel Studios’ “Loki” series.
The “As Featured In” meal varies globally, but in North America will include a choice of 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, or Big Mac Sandwich, along with a Medium World Famous Fries, a Medium soft drink, and the newly-branded Sweet ‘N Sour Sauce (inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Loki” Season 2).
It appears that “Loki” season 2 will be namechecked on the restaurant’s bags, as well:
With McDonald’s having a special role in Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Loki” Season 2, they will be giving fans a sneak peek via a themed AR experience on Snapchat.
When fans scan the newly branded “Loki” Sweet N’ Sour Sauce lid on Snapchat, they will unlock custom content developed by Marvel Studios exclusively for McDonald’s, with new content available weekly throughout the promotion.

“Loki” season 2 is set to debut on Disney+ on October 6, 2023.
Marvel says the season one main cast is returning, so we can expect to see Tom Hiddleston as the mischievous Asgardian, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, and Eugene Cordero as Casey/Hunter K-5E reprising their roles.
New to this season is Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan, who will reportedly be playing a character named Oroborus, nicknamed “O.B.,” who is the tech guy at the TVA.
