Disneyland Offers First Look at Tiana’s Palace Menu

Tiana’s Palace Menu
.

As we mentioned earlier this month, Tiana’s Palace restaurant will be opening at Disneyland Resort on September 7, 2023, and now we have a first look at the menu for this quick service eatery.

The Menu

Honoring dishes that Tiana herself would serve to guests, the menu will feature New Orleans classics including Southern comfort dishes, and plates with a Cajun and Creole twist.

The eatery won’t just have gumbo, but several different ways to enjoy it.

The House Gumbo is a New Orleans staple combining braised chicken, andouille sausage, and heirloom rice. Or try the 7 Greens Gumbo, a plant-based option with white beans, okra, yams, sweet potatoes, and heirloom rice, or make it more traditional with the 7 Greens Gumbo with Chicken & Andouille Sausage.

Speaking of chicken, feel the heat with the Cajun Spice Half Chicken featuring chicken brushed with a house-made chicory BBQ sauce, and served with baked macaroni and cheese & coleslaw.

Another traditional dish, the Gulf Shrimp and Grits, features shrimp grilled to perfection and tossed in a Creole sauce, then piled on top of cheesy grits.

New Orleans is known for its sandwiches, and Tiana’s Palace has several. Try the Muffuletta Sandwich, which stacks mortadella, salami, rosemary ham, cheddar, provolone and house-made olive relish on toasted New Orleans sesame seed bread.

Or go with the Beef Po-boy Sandwich, which features some slow-cooked beef perfectly coated with gravy and fully dressed with shredded lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise atop toasted New Orleans French bread.

Both are served with red beans and rice, and house-made pickles.

Speaking of sides, the culinary team have put together a tasty array of classic sides, like the Buttermilk Cornbread, Baked Macaroni and Cheese, Red Beans & Heirloom Rice, Coleslaw, Cheesy Grits, and plant-based Heirloom Rice.

Kid’s Meals

For the little ones, Tiana’s has some kid’s meals they’re sure to love.

The Roasted Chicken Drumstick is served with a sweet BBQ sauce and heirloom rice, while the Toasted Ham & Cheese Sandwich is topped with savory ham and provolone.

And you can’t go wrong with a classic Baked Macaroni and Cheese in a kid’s size.

All three of these are accompanied by a Cuties Mandarin Orange and applesauce with choice of DASANI Water or small low-fat milk.

Beignets and Coffee

Is it a New Orleans restaurant with beignets? I think not, and Tiana’s has put a twist on theirs.

Their House-filled Beignet features a delicious lemon icebox pie filling topped with lemon glaze.

New Orleans also does its coffee differently, and the restaurant will be featuring a nod to the city with Joffrey’s Coffee Chicory Cold Brew topped with sweet cream.

Novelties

The restaurant will also offer two novelties for guests to purchase and take home.

First is the Ray Firefly Glow Cube, which is available for $5.69 with the purchase of a beverage. Limit 10 per person, per transaction for the Ray Firefly Glow Cube, Disney says.

Second is the Lily Pad and Lotus Cup Ceramic Set ($34.99), which comes with a House-filled Beignet to enjoy. This also has a limit of two per person, per transaction.

I already know I need the lily pad. How about you?

About the Restaurant

The film designers of “The Princess and The Frog” took inspiration from the exterior of the original French Market Restaurant in New Orleans when designing the restaurant for the movie, and now Disneyland’s French Market Restaurant has been transformed into Tiana’s Palace.

It will be open starting with lunch daily. Mobile ordering will be available.

The new restaurant will join the recently opened retail shop, Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets, and the upcoming attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (opening in 2024) in bringing “The Princess and the Frog” to life at Disneyland.
