A Disneyland Railroad Train Popcorn Bucket will be pulling into select popcorn carts at Disneyland Park for a limited time starting July 26, 2023.
All Aboard!
As part of the current Disney100 celebration at Disneyland, the park has taken one of its most beloved rides and turned it into a popcorn bucket to take home.
Even better, the train popcorn bucket comes complete with Conductor Mickey Mouse to make sure your snack reaches its destination.
Here are some more images showing the details, including the Disneyland Railroad logo lanyard, and the working light in front:
There is also a video that not only shows the wheels move, but the smoke stack detaches to make a train whistle. How cool is that?
Now they just need to bring a similar popcorn bucket honoring the recently refurbished Walt Disney World Railroad to Magic Kingdom when the Disney100 celebration starts in September 2023.
About the Railroad
The Disneyland Railroad was originally conceived by Walt Disney, who drew inspiration from the ridable miniature Carolwood Pacific Railroad built in his backyard.
The attraction opened to the public at Disneyland’s grand opening on July 17, 1955, making it one of the park’s original attractions.
Its route is 1.2 miles long and encircles the majority of the park, with train stations in four different park areas. Two to four trains can be in operation at any time, and the full trip takes about 20 minutes.
Since it’s opening, multiple alterations have been made to the Disneyland Railroad, including the switch from using diesel oil to biodiesel to fuel its locomotives in the late 2000s.
