Disney100 Celebration Starts at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT Sept 22, 2023

The celebration of The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary kicked off earlier this year at Disneyland, and now we’ve learned that the Disney100 celebration will start at EPCOT at Walt Disney World this September.

The Details

EPCOT will be the center of the limited time Disney100 celebration at Walt Disney World that will run September 22 through December 31, 2023.

Such a short time, but Disney has plenty of plans in store for guests.

EPCOT’s transformation will be wrapping up, with the addition of new attractions like “Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana,” located in World Nature, and Dreamers Point featuring a statue of Walt Disney, located in World Celebration, along with to the new Communicore Plaza and Communicore Hall.

For the Disney100 Celebration, a new platinum Mickey Mouse sculpture in World Celebration with Spaceship Earth in the background will be available for photo ops, along with an all-new mural at the heart of World Celebration honoring 100 Disney characters.

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be dressed in their platinum best in the Imagination! pavilion for guests to meet, and Spaceship Earth will light up each night with special colors and lights accompanied by the Disney100 anthem, a unique rendition of “When You Wish Upon a Star.”

During the Disney100 celebration, EPCOT will also host both the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which will offer great food and drink to sample, along with entertainment like the “Eat to the Beat” concert series, and the “Candlelight Processional.”

And popcorn bucket collectors will want to pick up the purple metallic Mickey Balloon Premium Popcorn Bucket available only at EPCOT during Disney100.
