The Little Mermaid Happy Meal Toys
.

“The Little Mermaid” debuts in theaters this weekend, on May 26, and there are new Happy Meal toys available at McDonald’s to celebrate.

Each Happy Meal box includes one of eight toys based on characters from the movie, and will be available for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide, while supplies last.

The Toys

The characters available to collect are:

  • Ariel
  • Ursula
  • King Triton
  • Prince Eric
  • Sebastian
  • Scuttle
  • Flounder
  • Max

Each of the toys sits on a light blue translucent base that simulates a wave.

The toys don’t connect to one another like most Happy Meal toy sets, but each character toy has movement of some sort in connection to its wave base.

For instance Ariel flips beside the wave, Ursula’s tentacles in the wave twist around her body, and Prince Eric’s ship bounces in the wave.

The Film

The Little Mermaid” live-action film is the beloved story of Ariel (Halle Bailey), a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure.

The youngest daughter of King Triton (Javier Bardem), and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King).

While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula (Melissa McCarthy), which gives her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.

“The Little Mermaid” debuts in theaters on May 26, 2023. Ariel will also be making appearances at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Disneyland Paris around the release of the film.
