“World of Frozen” is set to debut at Hong Kong Disneyland in late 2023, and the park has released a first look at “Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs,” one of the two new attractions that will be in this area of the park.
About the Attraction
“Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs” is a “Frozen”-themed coaster where guests will embark on a scenic ride designed and built by Wandering Oaken, and powered by his buddies Olaf and Sven.
It is inspired by “Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna” where Oaken works.
Not much else is known about the ride, but from this construction photo also released by Hong Kong Disneyland, it looks like the coaster will have a track that goes both inside and outside.
About World of Frozen
The world’s first “Frozen”-themed land is also Hong Kong Disneyland’s largest expansion to date.
Guests will be able to visit the kingdom of Arendelle, and be fully immersed in all its sights, sounds, cuisines, and traditions.
“World of Frozen” will feature two new attractions: “Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs,” and “Frozen Ever After,” where guests are invited to go on a whimsical journey to visit Elsa’s Ice Palace on the special occasion of “Summer Snow Day,” and meet all their beloved friends from “Frozen.”
The new land will also feature a quick-service restaurant, and merchandise outlets.
“In this time of happily-ever-after, peace and prosperity have returned to the kingdom of Arendelle, guests are invited from near and far to take part in this joyous celebration on Summer Snow Day,” Michel Den Dulk, Executive Creative Director for Walt Disney Imagineering, explains of the land’s theming.
