Disneyland Paris celebrates its 31st anniversary today, but it’s just the beginning of the its 30th Anniversary Grand Finale celebration.
The Grand Finale
You only turn 30 once, so Disneyland Paris is extending its 30th Anniversary celebrations through September 30, 2023 with the kick off of its “Grand Finale” today.
As part of the Grand Finale, the fan-favorite nighttime spectacular “Disney Dreams!” returns starting tonight at Disneyland Park.
Guided by Peter Pan’s shadow, guests will discover or rediscover some of the greatest Disney stories projected on Sleeping Beauty Castle during an extraordinary journey featuring iconic songs from Disney and Pixar fan favorites Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Lion King, Tangled, and many others.
“Disney Dreams!,” which originally debuted in 2012, offers an incredible burst of colors and light using state-of-the-art technology, dazzling projections, spectacular lasers and fountains, and sensational pyrotechnic effects.
In fact, it received the 2012 IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best Production in the Live Entertainment Excellence.
The 2023 version of “Disney Dreams!” will be even more exceptional, as Sleeping Beauty Castle’s rooftops will be decked out with innovative LED technology that light up in sync with the show’s nostalgic soundtrack.
An additional upgrade to the show’s technical equipment includes the installation of energy-efficient laser video projectors, which will make it possible to reduce energy use by 50%, while delivering a breathtaking show.
Disney D-Lite
The Disney D-Light show, played as a prelude to Disney Dreams! will also unveil new drone choreography starting April 12. Created exclusively for the 30th Anniversary Grand Finale, this updated pre-show will also be played every night until September 30, 2023.
A New Pixar Show
As part of the Grand Finale, a brand-new show called “Pixar: We Belong Together” will kick off this summer at Walt Disney Studios Park.
Guests will be invited to take part in a musical adventure at Studio Theater alongside their favorite Pixar pals. During this show, which will combine state-of-the-art stage technology, lighting effects, choreography, and iconic songs, guests will find out how music and friendship brings us together.
Avengers: Power the Night
And there’s still time to catch “Avengers: Power the Night,” which will take place nightly through May 8, 2023.
This new nighttime drone show lights up the sky nightly at Walt Disney Studios Park with music, lights, pyrotechnic effects, video projections, and up to 500 drones that form an awe-inspiring series of icons representing the powers of iconic Super Heroes, including Captain America, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch and for the first time at Disneyland Paris, Shang-Chi.
it’s a small world returns!
Fans of “it’s a small world” will be thrilled to know that the attraction will reopen on May 5, 2023, after being closed for an extensive rehab.
The refurbishment work included reviving the highly colorful appearance of its outdoor façade, and allowed for several technical upgrades.
