Everything You Need To Know About Hulu’s New Series ‘Tiny Beautiful Things’

Tiny Beautiful Things - Kathryn Hahn

Hulu’s newest series, Tiny Beautiful Things, starring Kathryn Hahn, debuts on April 7, and here’s what you need to know before you watch the show.

The Story

Based on the best-selling collection by Cheryl Strayed, Tiny Beautiful Things follows Clare (Hahn) a floundering writer who becomes a revered advice columnist even though her own life is falling apart.

As we first meet her, Clare’s marriage to her husband Danny is damaged, following her giving her brother Lucas her daughter’s college fund. Her teenage daughter, Rae, is also pushing her away, and her once-promising writing career is non-existent.

So when an old writing pal asks her to take over as the advice columnist Dear Sugar, she thinks she has no business giving anyone advice, but reluctantly takes the job anyway.

As she dispenses advice, she begins to relive her most pivotal moments from childhood through present day, excavating the beauty, struggle, and humor in her unhealed wounds.

Told in multiple timelines, she excavates the beauty, struggle and humor in her own life to show us that we are not beyond rescue, and that it’s our stories that will ultimately save us.
