‘Rogers: The Musical’ is Coming to Disney California Adventure Park Summer 2023 for Limited Time

Rogers: The Musical - Hyperion Theater

One of the highlights of Marvel’s “Hawkeye” series was the introduction of “Rogers: The Musical,” and Disney has confirmed a version of it will be coming to Disney California Adventure this summer.

The Details

“Rogers: The Musical” is coming to the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure for a limited time this summer, and is being billed as a short one-act musical that will tell “a timeless story of a timeless hero.”

In the series, the stage production is fictitious musical all about the life of Steve Rogers, the first Captain America, culminating in “Save The City,” a musical number based on The Battle of New York from the first “Avengers” movie…though a few creative liberties have been taken with the details.

Most likely the Disneyland version will incorporate that musical number, which also was performed live at D23 Expo 2022 before Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige took the stage.

If the Disneyland version is anything like the D23 Expo version, it will be quite an ambitious undertaking. The Expo version had 22 performers and a six-piece orchestra.

Teasing the Show

The news was released via a teaser video featuring Peggy Carter in her Agent Carter wardrobe holding a Playbill for “Rogers The Musical” walking up to the Hyperion Theater on a foggy night:

Disney says more details regarding the storyline, music, and debut date will be shared later this Spring. We’ll share the news when we hear something.
