Disney+ has released the first trailer and key art for Season 2 of acclaimed Lucasfilm Animation series “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” which returns in January 2023.
The Series
The “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” series picks up where “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” left off, following Clone Force 99, the elite and experimental Stormtrooper clones of the Bad Batch.
What sets members of the Bad Batch apart is, as the name suggests, a different batch of genetics from their brothers in the Clone army. This gives them each a unique exceptional skill which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.
Five advanced clones, each with their own specialty, who, together, can be as effective as an entire battalion of clones. Just one problem…they don’t like to obey orders.
The first season debuted on Disney+ on Star Wars Day 2021 (May 4), and by August of that year, had won a season 2 renewal, just before the two-part season finale.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 stars Emmy Award nominee Dee Bradley Baker (“American Dad!”) as the voice of the Bad Batch, and Emmy Award nominee Michelle Ang (“Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462”) as the voice of Omega.
Emmy Award winner Rhea Perlman (“Cheers”) returns to guest star as Cid, Noshir Dalal (“The Owl House”) returns to guest star as Vice Admiral Rampart, and Emmy Award winner Wanda Sykes (“black-ish”) makes her guest starring debut in the series as Phee Genoa.
During this year’s Star Wars: Celebration event, a panel was held for the show, and attendees got to see a season 2 teaser trailer that was later released to the public.
And now, we have an official full trailer for the second season to show you.
The Trailer
When Season 2 debuts, viewers will find that months have passed since the events on Kamino that brought Season 1 to its thrilling conclusion, as the Bad Batch continues to navigate the Empire after the fall of the Republic.
The Batch will cross paths with friends and foes, both new and familiar, as they take on a variety of mercenary missions that will take them to unexpected and dangerous new places.
