Those visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland today will notice a new addition to the characters as The Mandalorian and Grogu make their debut.
The Details
The duo’s appearance was first announced at this year’s “Star Wars Celebration” in Anaheim this Spring.
While announcing that Boba Fett and Fennec Shand will be appearing at Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it was also announced that Din Djarin, known as the Mandalorian, and Grogu, the child who found protection with Mando, would be joining them at a later date.
At D23 Expo 2022, series co-creator Jon Favreau said he was working closely with Disney Imagineers to make sure the outfit was as authentic to the show as possible, right down to the animatronic Grogu (above) that would sit on The Mandalorian’s hip.
The planet Batuu and its Black Spire Outpost are a destination long familiar with bounty hunters and even more colorful characters, and starting today, November 18, The Mandalorian and Grogu will be strolling the streets.
No word on when or even if the two will make their way to Walt Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Insert sad face.
