Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that “Mickey’s PhilharMagic” at Tokyo Disneyland Park will be getting its first major upgrade since it opened in 2011.
What Will Be Changed
The revamped version of the attraction will include a brand-new scene where guests visit the bright and colorful “Land of the Dead” that Miguel travels to in the Pixar’s “Coco.”
The musical number is already present in “Mickey’s PhilharMagic” at Disney California Adventure park and Disneyland Paris, having debuted at both parks on July 17, 2021.
It was also added to the attraction at Walt Disney World when it reopened from refurbishment on November 12, 2021.
Hong Kong Disneyland is the only park not to have added the “Coco” scene to its “Mickey’s Philharmagic.” Shanghai Disney does not have the attraction.
Also new to Tokyo Disney’s version of the attraction will be upgraded projection equipment with enhanced image quality.
When It Will Reopen
Guests won’t have to wait much longer to enjoy “Mickey’s PhilharMagic” at Tokyo Disneyland.
The attraction, located in the park’s Fantasyland, is set to reopen to guests on September 15, 2022.
