ABC’s ‘Home Economics’ is Going to Disneyland

Home Economics

Following in the tradition of many ABC series, “Home Economics” is sending its characters to Disneyland in the upcoming season.

About “Home Economics”

Home Economics” is an American half-hour sitcom series airing on ABC, created by Michael Colton and John Aboud.

It is a look at the heartwarming, yet super uncomfortable and sometimes frustrating, relationship between three adult siblings: one in the 1%, one middle-class, and one barely holding on.

The series stars Topher Grace, Caitlin McGee, and Jimmy Tatro as the siblings, with Karla Souza and Sasheer Zamata as spouses.

It has aired two seasons so far, with a third kicking off this fall on September 21. All episodes are also available on Hulu.

When Are They Going?

The show’s Twitter acount posted a cast photo with Mickey at Disneyland yesterday with the text:

“Mickey Hayworth has a nice ring to it, no? ✨ filming has begun for the season premiere of #HomeEconomics, and we’re taking you to @Disneyland! See you September 21!”

So we’ll see the extended family at Disneyland in the very first episode of season three. It will air on Wednesday, September 21, at 9:30pm ET.

What we don’t know is the circumstances that bring them there.

TV Series Visiting Disneyland

Over the decades, many television shows, especially those airing on ABC, have sent their characters to Disneyland.

In the 1990s, an episode or two filmed at Disneyland was a plot point in series like “Full House,” “Family Matters,” “Step By Step,” and “Boy Meets World.”

More recently, shows like “black-ish,” “Modern Family,” and “The Goldbergs” have vacationed at the parks.
