As part of Disney Parks’ “Halfway to the Holidays” promotion this week, they dropped a flurry of news about holiday offerings at the various parks, including the fact that “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” will be returning to Walt Disney World this year!
This holly jolly event returns to delight guests on select nights from November 8 through December 22, 2022 at Magic Kingdom.
It will be the first time since 2019 the separately-ticketed event will take place.
“Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” was skipped in 2020 due to the pandemic, and last year, Walt Disney World hosted a modified event, “Mickey’s Very Merriest After Hours.”
This year “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” is back in a big way.
What to Expect This Year
With his famous flying reindeer leading the way, Santa Claus will join Mickey Mouse and friends in the fan-favorite “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade,” as it makes its way through the park.
Mickey and his pals take over the Cinderella Castle stage for the “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.” The show features nostalgic and modern medleys of holiday music paired with dance performances.
Minnie Mouse orchestrates a sparkling spectacle over Magic Kingdom as a part of “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks.” Full of holiday magic, the show includes dazzling castle projections, fireworks, and seasonal songs.
As you explore Magic Kingdom park, be on the lookout for Disney Characters decked out in their holiday best, ready to take photos with guests.
In between photos, be sure to enjoy the complimentary cookies and cocoa located at designated locations around the park.
Attractions Get Holiday Makeovers
Several Magic Kingdom attractions will get a special dose of Holiday magic for the party:
“The Jungle Cruise” will once again transform into “The Jingle Cruise,” packed with holiday-themed puns for your listening pleasure.
On “Space Mountain,” “Holiday Run!!” launches guests on an adventure through the cosmos, filled with interstellar lighting and high-energy holiday tunes.
The crew at “Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor” are filling their laugh canisters with some holiday cheer at their “Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Holiday Show.”
Cruise a festive freeway filled with thousands of lights, stylized décor and a fun, futuristic holiday soundtrack as you get behind the wheel on the “Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays.”
And Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland becomes a wild and wacky Christmas party, where guests can spin their teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.
Holiday Dance Parties
Sometimes holiday music just makes you want to bust a move, and “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” has you covered:
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café becomes “Club Tinsel” when denizens of the North Pole drop by for an intergalactic dance party.
Dance the night away alongside favorite Disney characters during an out-of-this-world holiday show, “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas” on the Rockettower Plaza Stage.
The fun continues for young partygoers and Disney Junior fans of all ages at Storybook Circus during the “Disney Junior Jingle Jam” as Disney Junior characters take part in a fun-filled dance celebration.
50th Anniversary Celebration Bonuses
To commemorate the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration, guests will find 3 new interactive photo locations inviting them to step right into a very merry scene perfect for a holiday card photo.
All ticketed attendees will also receive a Commemorative 50th Anniversary holiday-themed keepsake.
Event Details
This year’s “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” will be held on the following dates:
November 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 27 and 29.
December 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20 and 22.
The event will take place from 7pm to midnight, and ticket holders will be admitted into Magic Kingdom as early at 4pm.
These date-specific event tickets do not require an additional theme park ticket or theme park reservation.
Ticket Details
Ticket prices will range from $149 – $199 per adult, and from $139 – $189 per child age 3-9.
Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket on select event nights.
Guests of select hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort can purchase “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” tickets as early as June 30, 2022.
The advance purchase window is available to Guests of Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, as well as Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort.
All other Guests may purchase tickets beginning on July 7, 2022.
