Disney Parks Hosts ‘The Santa Clause’ Twitter Watch Party Today

As part of the Disney Parks’ “Halfway to the Holidays” celebration, they will be hosting a special Twitter Watch Party for the film “The Santa Clause” today, Thursday, June 23, 2022.

They held a similar Twitter Watch Party in April for their “Halfway to Halloween” promotion, and it was a lot of fun.

Disney even had actor Doug Jones (William “Billy” Butcherson) from the “Hocus Pocus” films participating in the chat.

No word if any of “The Santa Clause” actors will be participating, but anything is possible with Disney.

How to Participate

Fire up Twitter at 5pm PT/8p ET and get ready to push play on the movie at Disney+ when they say so at @DisneyParks.

Then tweet along your thoughts and comments using the hashtag #TheSantaClauseWatchParty.

As someone who hosts and participates in a lot of Twitter watch parties, my pro tip is to click on this #TheSantaClauseWatchParty link.

This will open a Twitter window that looks like this:

TheSantaClauseWatchParty

Click on “latest” and you’ll be able to Tweet and respond to others in real time.

You may have to keep refreshing the browser page to get new Tweets to load, but it makes the watch party more fun when you can retweet and reply to each other.

The Santa Clause - Scott and Carol

“The Santa Clause” Series

In January of this year, Disney+ announced a new limited-run series based on “The Santa Clause” franchise.

Tim Allen will return in his role of Scott Calvin, with Elizabeth Mitchell reprising her role of his wife Carol, aka Mrs. Claus.

This new series will show Calvin on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever.

He then sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.

A release date for the series has not been announced yet, however, it will likely premiere around the holidays. Maybe even this year as it’s already in production.

We’ll let you know as soon as we have a set date.
