Disney+ Drops New Trailer for ‘Baymax!’ Series Debuting in June 2022

Baymax series

Disney+ has dropped a new trailer for the upcoming series “Baymax!” debuting on the streamer on June 29, 2022.

The “Baymax!” series returns to the fantastical city of San Fransokyo where the affable, inflatable, and loveable healthcare companion robot, Baymax, sets out to do what he was programmed to do: help others…even if they haven’t asked for his help.

Take a look:

It seems the well-intentioned robot isn’t exactly welcomed by everyone, especially one unhappy feline.

“I thought it would be fun to do a Disney+ series with Baymax interacting with normal folks,” said series creator Don Hall, who helmed 2014’s Oscar®-winning film “Big Hero 6.”

“In each of our six episodes, Baymax just wants to help someone—and a lot of times they don’t want to be helped. He sets out to fix a physical issue that he’s identified, and in the process, gets to a deeper, more emotional place and can be almost transformative in that role.”

“Baymax!” will feature the return of several cast members from “Big Hero 6,” including Scott Adsit (Baymax), Ryan Potter (Hiro Hamada), and Maya Rudolph (Aunt Cass).

Joining them are voice talent including Ryan Potter, Emily Kuroda, Lilimar, Zeno Robinson, and Jaboukie Young-White.

“Baymax!” is a spin-off of the 2014 film “Big Hero 6,” which was loosely based on the Marvel comics of the same name. A television series of the same name, continuing the story of the film, aired on The Disney Channel/Disney XD from 2017 to 2021, and “Big Hero 6: The Shorts” a series of one minute shorts featuring the characters drawn in Chibi style aired on Youtube in 2018.

“Big Hero 6” the film, the series, and the shorts are all currently available on Disney+.
