‘World of Color’ Dining Package at Disneyland Available Again With Changes

World of Color at Disneyland

When “World of Color” returned to Disneyland last month, it was supposed to be accompanied by a dining package and a dessert party, both offering a reserved spot to watch the show from.

For some unknown reason, the dessert party went live, but not the dining package.

However, it appears the dining package is finally live to book, though it’s a bit different from what was initially offered.

The dining package includes a full-service lunch or dinner at Wine Country Trattoria, or the dinner buffet at Storytellers Cafe in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

The package also includes an entrance voucher for one to a reserved viewing area at Paradise Gardens Park for the “World of Color.”

Package prices are as follows:

Storytellers Cafe

Dinner: Starting at $59 for adults; $35 for children (ages 3 to 9)
Includes an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet, a nonalcoholic beverage (specialty coffees not included) and a specialty sweet treat.

Wine Country Trattoria

Lunch: Starting at $59 for adults; $35 for children (ages 3 to 9)
Dinner: Starting at $59 for adults; $35 for children (ages 3 to 9)
Includes a 3-course meal (starter, entrée and dessert) from a prix-fixe menu, plus a nonalcoholic beverage.

The main differences with the revamped dining packages are Carthay Circle is no longer being offered as a dining venue, and the starting prices have gone up from $50 adults/$25 children.

The biggest change is that reservations for the “World of Color” Dining Package are not directly available online or via the app anymore.

You now have to get a regular reservation to dine at the restaurant of your choice, and if you would like the “World of Color” Dining Package, let your host or server know at the time you dine.

Disney says “World of Color” Dining Packages are on a first-come, first-served basis, and are subject to availability.

Here are the scheduled dining times you need your reservation for to be able to ask for the “World of Color” Dining Package.

Storytellers Cafe
First Show – Dining Time: 5pm to 6pm
Second Show – Dining Time: 6pm to 7pm
On dates with only one World of Color show, the suggested dining time is 6pm to 7pm.

Wine Country Trattoria
Lunch is available from 12:30pm to 2:55pm
Dinner is available from 3pm to 6:20pm

Disneyland - World of Color

I’m not sure why Disneyland has opted to revamp the reservation process. This seems like it leaves more up to chance.

But at least guests can enjoy the “World of Color” Dining Package again. We’ll let you know if there are any more changes.
