Figment Popcorn Bucket Causes Long Lines on the First Day of 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts

EPCOT International Festival of the Arts - Figment popcorn bucket

The 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts started yesterday, January 14, and it turns out the longest lines were for the limited edition Figment Popcorn Bucket.

The collectible was priced at $25 each, with a limit of two per person, and one fill of rainbow popcorn per bucket. It was only being sold at the Pop Eats! Food Studio, near the Port of Entry, at the beginning of the World Showcase.

The line up began shortly after 9:30am, and by 11am, the line was estimated to be a 3-3.5 hour wait. By mid-afternoon, reports were the line stretched up the side walkway towards Spaceship Earth, down the main causeway, and back up it, reaching to almost Test Track, with a more than six hour wait.

Because of this, people who just wanted the food offerings at the Pop Eats! Food Studio couldn’t get any without standing in the line for the Figment Popcorn Bucket.

I have to be honest, as cute as I think the bucket is, I would never wait that long in line to get one, especially not for that price. But plenty of people did, and are happy they got one.

Unfortunately many resellers were in line, as well, and last I checked, the Figment Popcorn Buckets are priced for $250 or more each on eBay.

Local channel News 6 took an aerial video of the lines waiting for the popcorn bucket:

Even Universal Orlando took a swipe at the long lines for the Figment Popcorn Bucket on its Twitter:

Were you one of the ones who got a Figment today? Does the report of the lines make you rethink wanting to get one? Let me know in the comments.

  1. Yes I waited until 225pm to get one for my wife because she was taking care of her mom who has stage four breast cancer and had brain surgery two months ago
