It’s a Toy Story news kind of week. First we got a teaser for the new Pixar movie “Lightyear,” and now comes word a new Toy Story Hotel will open at Tokyo Disney Resort on April 5, 2022.
This new Disney hotel will be full of playful designs that immerse guests in the creative imagination of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story films.
Outside of the colorful hotel, guests will find oversized toy action play figures, each around four meters tall, of their favorite pals.
Buzz Lightyear and Jessie will be part of Slinky Dog Park in front of the entrance, while Woody and Bo Peep can be found in Toy Friends Square, a courtyard off the lobby.
The lobby itself will be a creative toy-filled space with a jigsaw puzzle-inspired floor, Pick Up stick columns, and a ceiling designed to look like a board game.
The Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel will be the resort’s first moderate-type Disney hotel, with 11 floors offering 595 rooms.
The guest rooms are inspired by Andy’s bedroom from the first Toy Story film, featuring his iconic blue-sky-and-and-puffy-white-cloud wallpaper, along with Woody’s Roundup inspired headboards, and an oversized Mickey Mouse wristwatch hanging on one of the walls, among other toy-like fixtures and furnishings.
Rooms that sleep up to three guests will have two regular beds and a trundle bed, while rooms for up to four will guests have three regular beds and a pull-down bed.
The hotel’s signature restaurant will be the Lotso Garden Cafe, with an interior decor inspired by Lotso from Toy Story 3. This restaurant will offer buffet service at breakfast and dinner. Dining at Lotso Garden Cafe will only be available for guests staying at Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel.
Guests will be able to get to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea from Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel by using the Disney Resort Line monorail that circles the Resort.
However being a moderate hotel, there will be a fee for using the monorail for guests. Complimentary Disney Resort Line passes are not available for guests staying at Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel
Milial Resort Hotels Co., Ltd. will manage and operate the hotel, which will be located in front of Bayside Station on the Disney Resort Line.
