Grab your bamboo utensils and reusable wine goblets! The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival begins July 15 at Walt Disney World.
Reading between the lines of the announcement, Disney plans to start with Global Marketplaces, aka the food booths, then roll out the full festival experience over the course of a few weeks with the festival running into the fall and wrapping on November 20.
Note Disney has dropped the “Taste of” part of the name. Does this mean they plan to eventually offer the full festival experience, concerts and special events and all?
With every adult in America able to receive their vaccine by the end of July, Disney may feel confident they will be able to open the limits on capacity by then and offer the full festival experience. We shall see when more event details are released.
EPCOT will be opening the new attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, on October 1. So we expect a heavy presence for the popular food themed Pixar movie and its little chef at the Food and Wine Festival.
With the Flower and Garden Festival running through July 5, there will be just a 10 day turn between events. If you’re one of those who likes to visit EPCOT between the festivals, you have a super small window this year.
