The Disney+ reality TV show “Encore!” is a unique take on the dream of recapturing the magic of bygone days. The show, produced and hosted by the great Kristen Bell, reunites high school musical casts to recapture their magical younger days in a new performance. Think of it as the first step toward a second chance.
The former students will face faded friendships, former flames, self-doubt, and killer choreography. Bell brings in help from Broadway’s best to see if they can pull off a standing-ovation-worthy performance of beloved musicals like “The Sound of Music,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Annie,” “Grease,” and more.

That’s a new twist on the high school reunion.
In “Encore!” every week is a new show where Bell reunites casts from across the country who performed in their high school musical 10, 20, even 40 years earlier and gives them the chance to perform together one more time! Explains the actress, “I wanted to produce Encore! to help others re-live their days on stage and rediscover the distinct bonding that only happens in high school.”
“Our show is about converging past dreams with present circumstances,” says Bell, “I hope viewers can laugh and see themselves among the sheriff, kindergarten teacher, wedding planner and the rest of their former classmates as they tackle these iconic musicals.”
