Orlando Magical Dining starts tomorrow with over 120 restaurants to enjoy

The deliciously wonderful Orlando Magical Dining promotion kicks off tomorrow night with more than 120 restaurants around central Florida participating. Prix fixe menus are all $35 for a three-course meal. There are 24 restaurants in the Disney / Lake Buena Vista area and dozens more restaurants just a short drive away.

When you partake in the Orlando Magical Dining promotion you’re also doing a little good as $1 of the price will be donated to local Central Florida charities. The event is sponsored by Visit Orlando and runs fromĀ August 23rd – September 30th.

There are so many restaurants in this year’s Orlando Magical Dining promotion that you can’t possibly visit them all. You don’t need a reservation, although they are suggested. Just ask for the Orlando Magical Dining Menu when you are seated.

For our media preview we were invited to try the menu at American Kitchen Bar & Grill at the B Resort & Spa — a Disney Springs Resort.

The dinner at American Kitchen started with a choice of appetizers, a creamy Tempura Avocado, a creatively combined Tuscan Kale Flatbread, or an BLT Wedge.

The main course offered four choices: Cauliflower Curry, Truffle Chicken Alfredo, Beet Root Ravioli, or Petite NY Strip. You can upgrade your dish with back truffles for $6.

Dessert had two yummy looking options: Apple Pie a la mode or deconstructed S’mores.

As I am eating Vegan right now, the restaurant was able to modify many of the dishes to be entirely plant-based and even offered two dishes that weren’t on the menu just for me. I appreciated the accommodation. If you’re looking for a vegetarian or vegan friendly dining location, I would definitely recommend American Kitchen. I’ll be back to try that Tempura Avocado and Cauliflower Curry for sure.

The location of American Kitchen Bar & Grill is convenient to anyone staying on property via the Disney Springs shuttle. If you are driving to the resort, there is parking, just be sure to ask to have your parking validated.
