Is there such thing as a pre-anniversary? If so, we’re celebrating it today. One year from today, the unstoppable storytelling team at Pixar will release a new animated film entitled “Soul.” This new addition is Pixar Animation Studio’s second original feature film scheduled for release in 2020.
For the big announcement Pixar teased the logo for “Soul” and our first look at the plot.
Following hot on the coattails of “Onward” which is set to hit theaters on March 6, 2020, “Soul” will take movie goers on an adventure from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms, encouraging viewers to query where their passions, dreams and interests come from.
Giving off a bit of a preliminary Inside Out-type vibe (check out that logo font), Soul is a journey of discovery seeking to answer some of life’s most important questions.
Soul is directed by two-time Academy Award winner Pete Docter (Up, Inside Out) and produced by Academy Award nominee Dana Murray (Lou short).
Are you excited for “Onward” and “Soul?” 2020 is gearing up to look just as good as Pixar’s 2019 line up!
