Disney Cruise Line is refreshing the entertainment offerings on its largest ship with the longest itineraries. The Disney Fantasy has just premiered a reimagined look to “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular” and will be adding “Frozen” to its lineup this fall.
Also new is Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Party at Sea, a deck party that celebrates Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on the 90th anniversary of their first film. The high-energy event brings Mickey and Minnie’s special celebration costumes to the ship for some fun in the sun.
The update to the Aladdin stage musical incorporates some of Disney Cruise Line’s top special effects including video/projection and exciting pyrotechnics. The show also updated the script and enriched storylines. Fans will find new choreography, score additions, puppetry, costumes and lighting. It will be a ‘whole new world’ for guests in the Walt Disney Theatre.
It was also announced that The Walt Disney Theatre will become home to the at-sea version of Disney’s “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular.” In the show two sisters show that the power of love can overcome any number of obstacles. Anna and Elsa, along with Olaf, Sven, and Kristoff can currently be seen on the Disney Wonder.
While we will be sad to see “Disney’s Wishes” leave the Disney Fantasy, we’re also fans of providing new entertainment from time to time aboard the ships to give repeat guests something new to enjoy.
Disney Fantasy’s new show line up will be “Frozen,” “Aladdin,” and “Disney’s Believe” starting October 26.
