New fireworks show announced for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Are you making plans to attend this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom? We have something that might make you book a trip. We just learned of new spooky fun that will ignite the night sky above the park — a brand-new Halloween fireworks spectacular.

As you can see below in the first concept art released for the new show, it will include state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting, and sky-high fireworks that come together to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night.

The theme of the show is a trick-or-treat adventure with four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. The gang finds themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house where they encounter dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts, and a whole series of trouble making Disney villains.

The HalloWishes show had a terrific 14-year run, but the new nighttime fireworks spectaculars are more choreographed productions that include digital projections on Cinderella Castle and other new show technologies we’re looking forward to seeing..

Yes, it’s sad to say goodbye to the old show, however we have been hoping for a change for a few years as the show has been made somewhat obsolete by all the new shows in other Disney parks in Orlando and around the globe.

The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party starts extra early this year on August 16 and runs through November 1 on select nights. Tickets area already on sale.
