Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame stars visit Shanghai for press, fans and fun

Some of the stars of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame were recently in Shanghai, China for a fan event and press conferences as part of their Global Press Tour for the film. The film is expected to open in nearly every market around the blog on or about April 26th, so coordinating marketing in all the major countries is key to a potential billion dollar box office opening.

There were thousands of fans on hand to see the stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in person. Here’s Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo and Kevin Feige onstage at the Avengers Endgame China Fan Event.

Here they are all assembled for a better photo:

In China for the press conference were L to R: Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Jeremy Renner, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd and Kevin Feige.

Of course, all work and no play makes for a dull day. So who can blame Chris Hemsworth for heading over to the nearby Shanghai Disneyland for a few rides. His reaction to TRON: Lightcycle Power Run is classic:

Looks like fun was definitely had by all. A version of the TRON: Lightcycle Power Run roller coaster will open in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in time for the park’s 50th anniversary.

About the film:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Kevin Feige produces “Avengers: Endgame,” and Anthony and Joe Russo are the directors. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo, Trinh Tran, Jon Favreau, James Gunn and Stan Lee are the executive producers, and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay.

“Avengers: Endgame” opens in theaters on April 26.
