Disneyland Paris Hosts its First Winter Market, now through March 17, 2019

Disneyland Paris is building on its successful summer markets in the Walt Disney Studios Park with the new “L’Hiver Gourmand” (Winter Gourmand), which will run through March 17, 2019. Since Disney acquired a majority stake in Disneyland Paris, they’ve been adding more festival-like events, similar to what they do at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. This is the latest to join the fun.

This Winter Market features 5 thematic chalets offering a selection of regional and seasonal specialties to delight foodies.

Located in the Place de Rémy area of the park, you’ll find:

Les douceurs d’hiver: Hot chestnuts; hot wine with spices
Les papilles en fête: Crunchy snails; chestnut soup; Christmas logs; Champagne
Les recettes de la cigogne (Alsatian regional specialties): Sauerkraut; pretzels; gingerbread house bits; beer
La bigoudene gourmande (Breton regional specialties): Salty cakes; sweet crepes; hot chocolate and cider
Saveurs des montagnes (Savoy regional specialties): Tartiflette with potatoes, reblochon cheese, lardons and onions; raclette & country ham sandwiches; cones of sausage; Bugnes (French doughnuts); Savoy wine

Guests can also find vegan dishes with seasonal soups (chestnuts, split peas or mushrooms) that will be offered on site.

These events usually start small and grow larger if fans give positive feedback and they attract crowds.

It all sounds like a delicious reason to visit Disneyland Paris this winter. Are you planning a visit?
