First look at Disneyland’s new Tropical Hideaway quick service

Tropical Hideaway at Disneyland Park

All the little birds of Disneyland are chirping about a new quick service location that’s set to open soon along the river banks of Adventureland. We now have our first look inside the Tropical Hideaway, which will no doubt become a favorite hangout for guests looking to relax and recharge while enjoying some world travel inspired eats.

Menu items will include warm steamed bao buns, chilled ramen salad, Sweet Pineapple Lumpia, and, of course, the the ever-popular Dole Whip.

Providing another element of fun will be the chance to finally see the mysterious cockatoo Rosita perform after she spread her wings and left the bird chorus inside the adjacent Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room for a solo career. You will now finder will now find her on the river’s edge at The Tropical Hideaway where she talks to guests she might encounter.

From the photos Disneyland has provided, we can already see how Imagineers have added a ton of great touches to the location. From homes for Rosita’s friends from the bird mobile to what I’m pretty sure is at least one hidden Mickey, there will be plenty of details to discover and explore.

We’re hearing that the Tropical Hideaway will open on or around the 20th or 21st with possible soft-openings before that.
