If you ever wondered what happened to Rosita? (And really, what fan of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room hasn’t) Disneyland finally has an answer for you. She flew the coop for her own perch at the soon to open Tropical Hideaway adjacent to Disneyland’s classic attraction in Adventureland.
The Tropical Hideaway, a new refreshment spot and exotic marketplace, will open later this year and offer unique food and beverages with delicious tastes from all corners of the world. There will also be colorful wildlife, like Rosita.
According to Disney, “After years of performing with the bird mobile chorus of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Rosita is spreading her wings and taking flight towards a solo career. You’ll find her on the river’s edge at the loading dock waiting for her boat to arrive.”
A friendly cockatoo, Rosita will great travelers from around the globe as they step inside the Tropical Hideaway. She reportedly has a repertoire of jokes and one-liners that would make any Jungle Cruise Skipper proud.
