Prepare yourself. Get in touch with The Force. It all comes down to this. The series finale of Star Wars Rebels will air Monday night March 5 at 8:30pm on Disney XD. The young Jedi Ezra calls in all his favors as The Ghost crew and the ragtag group of friends face one last challenge together as the series returns to the place where it all began – Ezra’s home planet of Lothal.
When you set your DVR to stun, remember there are two episodes on Monday – “A Fool’s Hope” and “Family Reunion – and Farewell” for a total of 90 minutes. Almost a full movie length.
Here’s Disney’s synopsis:
The Ghost crew joins the growing Rebel Alliance, struggling to unite against the Galactic Empire. However, when a new Imperial threat arises on Lothal, Ezra leads the crew back to his home world to defeat the oppressive forces of the Empire, under the command of the cunning Grand Admiral Thrawn. Old friends are reunited and new allegiances are forged as the series builds to its epic conclusion.

I think Ezra and Thrawn are heading for a showdown. Ezra will have The Force, the Ghost Crew and all their friends, and the planet’s creatures on his side. Thrawn has The Emperor. I’d say they’re evenly matched. Can Ezra and his band of rebels liberate Lothal?
Based on what happened in the first episode of these last few shows, I think you’d better bring some tissues to your watching party
Last week was pretty good, so hopefully this will be a fitting finale, unlike the pitiful final “season” of Clone Wars.
