As expected, Disney debuted the first trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story during the first quarter of the Superbowl tonight. We got our first look at Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, and a new looking Millennium Falcon.
Fans were eagerly anticipating the first footage from the film Disney code named – Red Cup, but Disney masterfully withheld footage until the Super Bowl for the biggest debut possible. That’s the charitable angle, the other angle is that the film went through a director switch mid-stream adding extra production days to the shooting schedule.
Either way, it looks pretty good, right? A full trailer will debut tomorrow morning on GMA for those who were left wanting more.
Solo: A Star Wars Story will fly into theaters Memorial Day weekend.
