Behind-the-scenes on Disney Dream production of Beauty and the Beast

The Disney Dream may have a sore rump right now, but inside the ship is some of Disney’s highest quality family entertainment ever produced. Disney Cruise Line plans to take that to a new level with their production of “Beauty and the Beast” live musical, which debuts this November.

This production focuses on the classic Disney fairytale as told through the recent live-action film, but also including plenty of the the charm and nostalgia of the original award-winning animated feature.

In a new behind-the-scenes video, you can get an up close look at how Disney achieves the magic of the enchanted objects of Beast’s castle. Innovative puppetry brings the beloved characters, like Cogsworth, Lumiere, and Mrs. Potts to live.

Disney employs some of the most talented artists around to help give these ship-bound productions full Broadway calibar effects and design. These puppets look absolutely amazing.
