Actor Ernie Sabella, voice of beloved warthog Pumbaa, stopped by the “Festival of the Lion King” last week. His voice can be heard throughout the Disney parks, in the sequels to the original movie, and in the new spin-off series, The Lion Guard, currently airing on the Disney Channel.
“The Lion King,” the most successful franchise in history by box office, now joins the highly-celebrated Walt Disney Signature Collection. The coming-of-age masterpiece arrives on Digital today and on Blu-ray and DVD on Aug. 29. When you order via the above links, you’ll help support The Disney Blog. Thanks.
Here is Sabella doing the voice of Pumbaa at a media event on the 9th:
The world is ending and all, but Ernie Sabella, the real Pumba, said "Hakuna Matata" to me, so it's all good. #LionKingBluRay pic.twitter.com/l7jfrK0pHf

We used to live around the corner from Ernie Sabella. He’s a genuinely nice guy with a huge passion for all things Disney. We hope he continues to perform and entertain for many years.
