EPCOT Food and Wine Festival adds culinary adventures outside the park

The 21st annual food and wine festival at EPCOT has grown so big they had to expand it to 62 days to fit it all in. But that’s not the only expansion. The festival now includes events that happen outside of EPCOT itself at some of Walt Disney World’s most amazing resorts.

Each new premium dining experience is designed to give you an insider look into the culinary magic, mixology, and practical science that makes Disney Dining so notable. You will make unforgettable mealtime memories as you meet some of Walt Disney World’s most talented chefs!

Brunch with a Twist at Disney’s Grand Floridian

Treat your taste buds to a deluxe brunch featuring 5 world-class courses prepared by Disney’s elite team of master chefs! Guess of this event will be treated to a 5-Star, 5-course meal prepared by the award-winning chefs, Executive Chef Scott Hunnel, Chef Dom Filoni, Chef Lawrence Searl, Chef Noah Estabrook, Chef Nick Mussara, and Executive Pastry Chef Erich Herbitschek representing Victoria & Albert’s, Citricos, Narcoosse’s, the Grand Floridian Cafe, and the Grande Floridian Bakery. Attendees will learn new cooking techniques and have the opportunity to ask questions while watching the chefs whip up their individual specialties. Event is October 6 from Noon to 2pm and price is $169 plus tax, gratuity and valet at the Grand Floridian is included.

Culinary Adventures with a Master Chef

Learn pro tips and tricks that kick your kitchen skills into high flambe, then feast on the fruits of your labor. In a professional working kitchen, you will spend 60 minutes at various stations preparing different dishes under the direction of Disney chefs. After the interactive session, you will dine on a delicious 5-course gourmet meal at the Chef’s table, complete with wine pairings. This 3-hour epicurean experience is not to be missed. Takes place at the Contemporary Resort on 4 dates (10/7, 10/21, 11/3, and 11/9) starting at 5:30pm. Price is $259 plus tax, gratuity included.

The Secrets of Flavor

This unique event will provide a smorgasbord for your mind as well as your taste buds. Ever wonder why certain foods evoke a positive or negative emotional response? Can you distinguish different flavors in a blind taste test? Want to know more? During this 3-course lunch, attendees will learn how each of our five senses impacts our fondness for certain foods. Held at Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club on 3 dates (9/22, 10/20, and 11/3) from Noon to 2pm. Price is $129 plus tax, gratuity included

Behind the Scenes at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto

Learn how to mix tropical cocktails as well as the history behind America’s most iconic Tiki-themed eatery! Guests will be immersed in the experience by learning how to mix their favorite dark and light spirits into spectacular island drinks paired with unique spirits selections. Held on 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, and 10/12 from Noon to 2pm. Price is $99 plus tax.
