Disney Channel celebrates 100th DCOM with four-day movie marathon

This summer the Disney Channel will release a re-invisioning of the 1980s film “Adventures in Babysitting” as their next Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM). “Babysitting” will also be the 100th DCOM aired by the Disney Channel. Since the first movie “Under Wraps” aired 18 years ago, DCOM’s have meant big ratings for Disney and great memories for fans. To celebrate the success, the Disney Channel is kicking off the “100th DCOM Celebration” that will feature every DCOM ever made.

The majority of movies will air over a four-day marathon on the Disney Channel beginning Friday May 27 with the other movies available on the Disney Channel app and through your favorite video on Demand source through the summer.

The “100th DCOM Celebration” schedule is as follows:

In the U.S., across all basic cable, DCOMs have delivered the #1 cable TV movie for 14 consecutive years in Tweens 9-14 (2002-15) and hold the record of six of the Top 7 original cable movies ever (“High School Musical 2,” “Teen Beach Movie,” “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie,” “Descendants,” “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension” and “Camp Rock”).
