Disney Cruise Line cleans up at Cruiser Critics’ Choice Awards

Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but the Disney Cruise Line has been honored with even more awards at the latest award show. They just placed first in 11 award categories at the 6th annual Cruise Critics Cruisers’ Choice Awards as decided by the readers of Cruise Critics online community.

“To be recognized once is always an honor, but to place first in 11 categories is absolutely incredible and a true reflection of our Cast and Crew Members,” said Karl L. Holz, president of Disney Cruise Line. “Their commitment to delivering magical moments for our guests at sea is unparalleled, and I could not be prouder of these latest accolades.”

Disney Cruise Line garnered first-place in the following categories:

  • Best Overall Cruise Ship (Large Ship Category): Disney Dream
  • Best Cabins (Large Ship Category): Disney Dream
  • Best Dining (Large Ship Category): Disney Fantasy
  • Best Embarkation (Large Ship Category): Disney Fantasy
  • Best Entertainment (Large Ship Category): Disney Dream
  • Best Entertainment (Mid-Size Category): Disney Wonder
  • Best for Fitness & Recreation (Large Ship Category): Disney Fantasy
  • Best Public Rooms (Large Ship Category): Disney Dream
  • Best Service (Large Ship Category): Disney Dream
  • Best Service (Mid-Size Category): Disney  Wonder
  • Best for Families: Disney Dream

Cruise Critic is one of the largest online cruise communities with more than 150,000 cruise reviews, covering approximately 500 cruise ships. Awards are based on reviews submitted for cruises taken in 2015 and are calculated using the ratings submitted with each Cruise Critic member review.

  1. For a long time, the Disney Cruise site wouldn’t let you search without specifying a departure port. I kept shouting at the screen, “I don’t care! Just put me on the boat! Any boat!”
