Magic Kingdom Castle Construction Update – October 2015

Construction continues around the Magic Kingdom hub. Cinderella Castle now has new spires near to the curb. They provide more speakers and better themed control booths for the castle stage shows.

They are also adding new, more gently sloped ramps up into the castle from the hub. I suspect this is to comply with ADA requirements so you’re not pushing a wheelchair up too steep a slope. But it might also have show reasons. There’s more of a courtyard feel in front of the stage right now.

The new spires / turrets look really good. They’re still adding the details, but what they have look really good. They already provide a nice spot of shade and a place to get a cool drink of water from the fountains.

In the last few days, Disney has even added strings of holidays lights to them, so they’ll be included in the Castle lighting show for the holidays. That’s going to be spectacular with the new larger display.

Are you looking forward to seeing Cinderella Castle & the Magic Kingdom hub finally finished?
