Royal Sommerhus for Frozen meet and greet construction update

We recently stopped by EPCOT to check in on the progress of construction that will see the Norway Pavilion become home to a new Frozen themed ride and the addition of a Royal Summerhus that will hold a meet and greet with Anna and Elsa in a space between the existing Norway and Mexico pavilions.

Here’s a look at the latest progress.

Concrete walls have begun to go vertical, which is a good sign. Eventually it will feel like a part of the Norway pavilion inside and out. At least that’s the announced plan. I particularly like the artwork on the walls around the construction. Has that perfect feel of both Frozen and Norway. A good sign if that’s any indication of the art direction for the new meet and greet.

As expected, there’s no visible sign of the Frozen attraction. All that work is going on inside the show building for Maelstrom.

Current timeline for opening is Spring 2016.
