I was able to see Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story last night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They’re hosting free screenings all weekend long. But if you can’t make it to DHS or one of the screenings at El Capitan or Disneyland, you can download the short movie for free on Google Play for Valentine’s Day.
I don’t want to give away too much, but I thought the movie was, for the most part, smartly animated. The story line was fairly straight forward, but that’s not always a bad thing in a movie like this. It was easy to get caught up in the emotions the vinylmation actors felt, but I did feel a little let down by the last act of the film. I didn’t feel that emotion was carried through.
It is a wonderfully charming film and a great way to showcase the little characters we’ve come to know and love thorugh Vinylmation. So whether you’re a serious collector or just a Disney fan with a few figures on your desk, this is the Valentine’s Day movie for you.
It’s not showing up on the page, I suppose there is no Love for the UK Audience yet. :(
