Please welcome guest author Zoë Periale with this report from the new Iron Man 3 exhibit at Disneyland:

With the third movie in the Iron Man series up for release at midnight tonight, a new exhibit has cropped up in Disneyland. Iron Man Tech Presented by Stark Industries is located on the top floor of Innoventions, a small low capacity building in the back of Tomorrowland but fitting nonetheless. After doing a round about of the top floor to reduce traffic flow problems, you’ll be greeted by the sight of what the over head speakers is dubbing the Mark XLII, or Mark 42 of the Iron Man suit. Red and shiny it stands on a recreation of Tony Stark’s circular pedestal that fans of the series will recognize as the location where he preforms many a suit up in his Malibu Beachside home. Is Free Dining the Best Deal For You?

2012 DCL-WDW 007For nearly a decade, Disney has been offering free dining in the fall and early winter as a way of filling hotel rooms during slower months of the year, a promotion which also has the effect of keeping Disney restaurants full and their staff occupied and up to speed.  Under free dining, a family of four still pays full-price for their room and tickets, but they can easily save around $200 a night.  For this reason, free dining is the stuff of a Disney fan’s dreams and the subject of endless threads on Disney message boards:  Will it be offered at all, what are the dates, what hotels will it cover?  Speculation builds to a frenzy in the weeks before free dining is expected to be released, however, as we approach the latest round of free dining rumors with our forks poised, ask yourself this:  Is free dining really a good deal for you?Read More »Is Free Dining the Best Deal For You?

Princess Half-Marathon Weekend adds New Race and More Fun

01-run-disney

Although I personally have yet to partake in any runDisney events, I’ve been pleased to be invited to cover a few. All of them have their own quirks and styles, but there is something that unites them all and that’s the magic of running at Disney. That element turns out to be so popular, even with 7 race weekends throughout the year, runDisney can’t keep up with the demand. But that’s okay, they continue to add new opportunities to their existing races, such as broadening the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World Resort next year by adding a 10K and a new two-race challenge.

The Princess 10K gives runners of various levels more opportunities to run through Disney theme parks and receive a specially-designed finisher medal. And runners looking for an even bigger challenge can sign up for the 10K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday (19.3 miles total) to earn the inaugural Disney Glass Slipper Challenge Medal to go along with medals from each individual race.Read More »Princess Half-Marathon Weekend adds New Race and More Fun
