Shanghai Disneyland officials told members at of a digital media forum that technologies shown at Shanghair’s World Expo in 2010 will find their way into the park. Additionally, several of the next-gen technologies being developed for Walt Disney World, will be part of the park. Of course, they have the advantage of installing them for the first time instead of trying to build them on top of existing infrastructure.
The technology from the expo was used in the China Pavilion. It features the painting “Along the River during the Qingming Festival” which had dynamic elements that featured moving figures and was a very popular exhibit at the Expo.
From the Next-Generation research projects Shanghai Disneyland will open with Radio Frequency Identification technology, or RFID, to be used for admission at the park. Also, a mobile phone payment system will be available for purchases made at the theme park.
