Disney’s Playdom supporting People of Japan via Donations

Playdom, a division of Disney Interactive Media Group, announced a program with the American Red Cross to support their efforts in helping those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific.

Playdom will be giving away virtual items in six different games over the coming weeks as part of the program. Playdom’s online properties, including ESPNU College Town, Sorority Life, Social City, and City of Wonder, support millions of daily users on Facebook, MySpace and international social networking sites.

As part of the 10-day program Playdom has set up a website on which people can donate directly to the American Red Cross.
