Disney loses bid for new trial in Millionaire case, will appeal

The federal judge in the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire case has again ruled against Disney in the case brought against them by Celador. No new trial will be granted. Should Disney lose an expected appeal, they will owe $319 million. This case is one of the largest in Hollywood history to test the practice known as Hollywood Accounting that’s common at movie studios. Apparently an email from Michael Eisner where he places a rough estimated value on the show was a key piece of evidence. Disney wants that thrown out. (Via the AP)
