Dancing with the Stars 6.5 Results

The bottom five couples were so close last night, I’m really not confident in my predictions. I’m quite interested to see who is in the bottom two and who leaves.

Encore: Kristi Yamaguichi & Mark Ballas
This was the only prediction I was confident about, and I’m glad to see I was right. It’s about time they got to do the encore, too.

They started telling us who was in the bottom two early this week. We weren’t even twenty minutes in when they revealed the first couple. And I really felt sorry for them having to stew for the next forty minutes to find out if they would stay or not. Frankly, it’s better, at least in my mind, when they wait until the end to tell us who the bottom two are.

The Bottom Two:
Cristian de la Fuente & Cheryl Burke
Priscilla Presley & Louis van Amstel

So Tony was correct in his comment from yesterday’s post. Cristian didn’t have a big enough fan base to stay out of the bottom two. He really dropped fast after one bad performance. And worse yet, he was the one who had to stew for 40 minutes about whether he was leaving or not.

But ultimately it was Priscilla who left us this week. Since she was in the bottom two last week and her score with the judges was lower this week, I figured it would take a miracle to save her. She’s been a great competitor. But she was among the weaker dancers left. Beside, this makes the men to women ratio closer to even.
