Disney On TV tonight

What to watch tonight in the world of Disney (all times are Eastern):

  • The Disney Channel has Finding Nemo as the Sunday night movie at 8pm (isn’t that bed time on a school night?). Remember when that was on ABC?
  • ABC Family goes comedy with Mel Brook’s Robin Hood: Men in Tights and then at 8PM Kelsey Grammar in Down Periscope.
  • USA has Pirates Of the Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl at 8pm
  • ABC has the 3rd to last race of the NASCAR season at Texas Motor Speedway. Coverage starts at 3PM. The chase has become a duel unless Jeff and Jimmy are taken out early in a crash. That’s why I’m watching. At 8pm Extreme Makeover: Home Edition with Ty Pennington blows up and then rebuilds a house (facial tissue required). Then at 9PM a new Desperate Housewives with a Halloween theme (a tad bit late are we?). Brothers & Sisters is also new at 10PM. Ask my wife about that one, she never misses an episode.
  • The Golf Channel wraps up the PGA Children’s Miracle Network tournament at Walt Disney World this afternoon. Windy conditions make this anyone’s match. Too bad the PGA’s FedEx Cup means the big names don’t visit Orlando anymore.

It’s not Disney, but the 1974 film Benji is on TCM tonight at 6PM. This is the film that started a string of Dog movies (including Disney’s Air Bud series) and a perfect family film for a Sunday night.
