Meet the Robinsons Holds On with $12.1 Million

Disney’s "Meet The Robinsons" has legs, as they say. It moved down just one space on the box office chart last weekend bringing in a respectable $12.1 million for a total of over $72 million according Box Office Mojo. Add in the foreign box office and you’re approaching a hundred million (it hasn’t opened everywhere yet either).

This is good news for the futuristic family film. Numbers should continue to be good next weekend as well. No new animated films are hitting the market and cold weather continues to reign over most of the nation driving families out to the theaters instead of parks.

  1. We saw this over the weekend. Um… it took a while to all come together. We ended up liking it, I think.

Loved the old Mickey cartoon at the beginning.

Do you know what the quote from Walt Disney was at the end?

  2. “Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
